Vicki: I live in Victoria and am a Wife, Mum and Grandy. I have been a teacher and worked in sports administration. During Covid, my sister, Robyn and I had many discussions about starting our business, Soap Shakin Sisters and eventually decided to do it. In my spare time, I like to read, play golf, garden, walk and patchwork and quilting.

Robyn: I live in Queensland and have worked in management of caravan parks, motels and retail businesses. We purchased a church in SW Qld 20 years ago and restored/renovated it and recently sold it. My husband and I are travelling in a motor home and exploring our great country. I have 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

When did you launch your business? πŸš€

March 2022.

What makes your products unique? πŸ€”

Australian made shaker, two sisters running their own business, environmentally friendly, economical and durable.

What was the inspiration behind launching your business? ✨

Our Mother – Melba. we still have her shaker, which has to be over 60 years old. She was a determined, feisty, adventurous and hard working lady who lived till 98. My sister and I have definitely inherited some of these traits by starting up our own business.

What does a typical day look like for you? β°

Vicki: Morning walk, Checking emails, social media and doing office work. If afternoon is free, I like to sew, garden or have a coffee with friends. In the evenings, I like to watch some television and always read before bedtime.

Robyn: Walking our dachshund, Helga. As we are living in a motor home, in Queensland, at the moment, there are usually things to do connected with it. We could be travelling, if not we like to have a look around where we are staying. I check in with Vicki about the business. We have set jobs that we do and there is always something we can talk about..
